Dive into the in-development virtual world
Card-en-Ciel is a card role-playing game developed by INTI CREATES CO., LTD. for PC gaming. In this card-battling title, you play as Neon, alternatively known as the Gaming Chair Detective, renowned for handling net-related crimes in the in-development game world.
Rendered in 2.5D graphics, Card-en-Ciel delivers visuals and gameplay reminiscent of many games from the 1990s. This title incorporates various elements, including roguelike, cyberpunk, and tactical, which immerse players in the game. It also features a story-rich narrative that allows users to choose their path, potentially leading to multiple endings.
Traverse grid-based dungeons
In Card-en-Ciel, you immerse yourself in an in-development game world set within a 6x3 grid-based reality. This digital universe, once calm, is now being overrun by mysterious factions whose intentions remain unclear. As Neon, you must carefully navigate this expanse with strategic precision while encountering various threats. You must also fight off enemies to prevent these factions from claiming dominance and altering the course of the virtual world’s fate.
Create a formidable deck from the 300 featured cards, each with a unique character. Every card, which includes full English and Japanese voice acting, can be activated to converse with friends and foes and respond in combat. In addition, the title features 50 fully vocalized songs. Recruit Muse cards and meet their conditions to make them perform the song in their respective era and genre.
The game contains 10 dungeons, each with a fulfilling narrative and many cards that strengthen your deck. With 10 more difficulty levels, you can expect stronger enemies and twists in rules every time, adding a layer of challenge. However, despite each dungeon having a distinctive storyline to separate itself from the others, the gameplay tends to be repetitive over time.
Card-battling RPG
Card-en-Ciel offers an exciting blend of retro-inspired visuals, tactical combat, and a deep, story-driven experience. With its vast array of cards, immersive gameplay, and dynamic challenges, the game provides both strategic depth and replayability. However, while the variety of dungeons and difficulty levels keep things fresh, the gameplay may become repetitive over time. Overall, the game stands out as a compelling card RPG for fans of cyberpunk and tactical gameplay.
